This design is based on the painting Almond Blossom, which Van Gogh painted to celebrate the birth of his godson. It brings together a more subdued colour composition, with the famous almond blossom branches standing out on a grey background.
The subject, the sharp outlines, and the placement of the tree in the picture plane is evidence of the inspiration Van Gogh found in Japanese woodblock prints. The romantic design and the subdued colours, such as sage, grey, red, black, green, olive, black, and yellow, mean the quilt cover is an ideal match for a bedroom with a romantic or classic design.
The quilt cover is made of 100% cotton sateen. The cover has a chic sheen and the sateen weave makes it feel very smooth. More threads are used for a sateen weave and the material is woven much tighter. Cotton sateen is made of 100% high quality breathable cotton and is moisture-absorbent.
